    Description

    ITEM: This a very rare, vintage and original 1939 advertising calendar created for and distributed by the Brown & Bigelow Calendar Co. featuring an image by Normal Rockwell titled, "The Scouting Trail." With advertising printed for the Northern Business College of Bemidji, Minnesota, this calendar is complete with January through December date pads under the 'Boy Scouts of America' flap. With its original mailing envelope, this is amazing as seen and opens to reveal an unused Boy Scout daily record calendar book as seen in the pictures here.
    Small text reads;
    The Scouting Trail -
    This is the Trail that the Scout shall know
    Where knightly qualities thrive and grow;
    The trail of honor and truth and worth
    And the strength that springs from the good brown earth;
    The trail that Scouts, in their seeking, blaze
    Through the toughest tangle, the deepest maze,
    Till out of Boyhood the Scout comes straight
    To Manhood's splendid and high estate!
    - Berton Braley
