ARTS AND CRAFTS 800 SILVER & CARNELIAN THIMBLE
CIRCA 1900s
A LOVELY EXAMPLE OF HAND-CRAFTED WORKMANSHIP SYNONYMOUS
WITH THE ARTS AND CRAFTS MOVEMENT. PROBABLY MADE IN GERMANY.
THIS GORGEOUS ORIGINAL ARTS AND CRAFTS THIMBLE IS MADE
FROM 800 SILVER WITH A CORNELIAN STONE TOP. WITH LITTLE
ETCHED CIRCLES SO THE NEEDLE DOESN'T SLIP. THE SILVER HAS A
CIRCULAR PATTERN TO THE UPPER PART WITH A HAND BEATEN FINISH
TO THE LOWER PART AND REPOUSSE  RELIEF WORK TO THE THE RIM.
IT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH NO DENGS TO THE SILVER.

WITH MAKERS MARK
THERE IS A SLIGHT NICK IN THE SILVER TO THE TOP, NEXT TO THE
STONE. THE CARNELIAN STONE IS IN GOOD CONDITION, UNDER
CLOSE INSPECTION THERE IS A TINY NICK TO THE EDGE AND SOME
LIGHT SURFACE SCUFFS AND SCRATCHES.
OVERALL IT IS IN GREAT CONDITION WITH A LOVELY PATINA TO THE SILVER.
